b Wednesbury, Staffs 1850, d Abergele, Conwy (Denbighs) 1927. From around 1870 he served as organist at Trinity Wesleyan Methodist Ch in Wolverhampton (now in W Midlands) for some 35 years. He is noted for one tune which features in a small number of books, not only in Methodism. No.606=718.
