As we come to God in adoration

As we come to God in adoration,
thankful for the grace that he has shown,
making rebel sinner into child of God
as he builds a people of his own:

so we lift our hearts in praise
and we worship him and sing for all our days
of our God, whose power has kept us safe thus far,
and in Christ will meet our every need.

2. As we come when troubled hearts are yearning
for a touch to calm our rising fears,
in a world of war with millions suffering
he alone can wipe away all tears:

so we lift our hearts in praise…

3. As we come in quiet expectation
to the one whose help is always near,
resting on the faithful promises of God
that sustain us while we labour here:

so we lift our hearts in praise…
