Garrard, Stuart

(stage name, ‘Stu G’), b in the Dales, 1963. After Westbourne High School he spent some 7 years with Eastern Electricity, while also playing guitar and singing in bands for local churches and other venues. He has written and composed many songs and recorded several albums, working among others with Graham Kendrick and the London branch of Hillsong. In 1986 he moved to London and in 1992 to Littlehampton; he is currently a singer and guitarist with the band ‘Delirious?’. He now lives in Ipswich. Recent compositions include the one included here and Have you heard the good news, chosen for Sing Glory (1999). No.212.
