Studied at the Univs of Durham, Oxford (Lincoln Coll), Leeds (Inst of Dialect and Folk Life Studies) and Bournemouth, and London International Film Sch: BA, M Litt, M Phil, A Mus LCM. Writer, editor, teacher, lecturer, and broadcaster; member of RC church. His setting of the Lord’s Prayer was issued by RSCM in 1968, since when his choral, orchestral and organ music incl hymn tunes has been published, much of it by Oecumuse; some 30 pieces in print. No.106.
