b Wimbledon, Surrey 1866, d Oxford 1941. As a Housemaster at Eton College in 1915, he arranged the World War I song ‘Tipperary’ in 6 variations for piano. Between about 1890 and 1930 he published other verse of his own and several part songs for 4 or 6 voices; also a book The Island (a military work?) in 1929. Apart from the meagre information in EP vol 1, nothing further has yet been discovered. No.459.
