b USA. A songwriter in the renewal movement who has also composed for woodwind instruments. His best known song, written with Jamie Harvill qv, ‘opened the doors’ to a wider musical career; another favourite has been ‘Lord most high’. In 1991 the two families moved together to Mobile, Alabama, then later to the Nashville area. In 2001 he recorded ‘Friends’, an album with Robin Mark, Stuart Townend and John Hartley. He has also helped to launch his daughter Sarah’s recordings as a singer, and is currently based in Franklin, Tennessee. No.170.
