I stand on a rock

I stand on a rock that is secure, that won’t be shaken,
for you are a faithful God.
I stand on a promise that is sure, that won’t be broken,
for you are a faithful God.
You’re my refuge, strong deliverer, great are the things you’ve done.
You’re the mighty, all-sustaining, all-sufficient one.

Yesterday, today, for ever,
you can be relied upon.
You will always be my treasure,
this will always be my song.

2. I walk on a path that is made straight by you before me,
for you are a faithful God.
I walk in a power that keeps firm my feet beneath me,
for you are a faithful God.
You’re my guardian, never sleeping, watching me night and day.
You’re unchanging, you’re unfailing, good in every way.

Yesterday, today, for ever, …

3. I live by a grace that set me free from condemnation,
for you are a faithful God.
I live by a love that won for me a free salvation,
for you are a faithful God.
You’re the joy that lifts my sadness,
faithful in all you do.
You’re the strength that fills my weakness,
I depend on you.

Yesterday, today, for ever…
