- Philippians 2:9-11
- Revelation 5:12
- 321
No other name but the name of Jesus,
no other name but the name of the Lord;
no other name but the name of Jesus
is worthy of glory and worthy of honour,
and worthy of power and all praise.
(repeat)
His name is exalted far above the earth,
his name is high above the heavens;
his name is exalted far above the earth—
give glory and honour and praise unto his name.

The story behind the hymn
Robert Gay’s song, like 319, was one of the later entrants to MP, having been heard at Spring Harvest since its composition in 1988. Its text links Acts 4:12 with Revelation 5:12; like many such short items it requires some understanding of why these things are so. The writer’s own tune NO OTHER NAME clearly goes with the words.
