When sorrow overwhelms our hearts
and brings us to our knees;
when days are dark and hope seems lost,
Lord, may we know your peace,
Lord, may we know your peace.

2. When troubles leave our fragile minds
confused and ill at ease,
we look to Christ who makes us whole
and blesses us with peace,
and blesses us with peace.

3. He came to rescue captive souls,
give healing and release:
his love and mercy reaching out
to fill us with his peace,
to fill us with his peace.

4. Where conflicts rage and justice fails,
where fear and doubt increase,
his grace and truth can flow through us:
Lord, help us share your peace,
Lord, help us share your peace.
