Who, for my sake
Who, for my sake,
so overwhelmingly suffered at Calvary;
who, for my sake?
Jesus the Lamb, in all his purity,
slain on a cross to be Saviour of man.
Chorus:
O, what grace to me
flows so freely down from his throne above;
where I should have been,
in my place was seen heaven’s amazing love.
2. Who, for my sake, covered with holiness
all of my sinfulness;
who, for my sake?
Jesus the King,
God’s perfect sacrifice,
yielded for me, his life, gave everything.
O, what grace to me

The story behind the hymn
Who, for my sake was inspired by the awesome knowledge that Jesus gave up everything for us and nothing we could ever do or say will ever repay him.
